Just another quick exercise from a photo.
A tonal wash sets things in place with a hint of warmth in the foreground.
I was so caught up in getting the tree to come to life forgot to take a photo until this point. Sorry. Just the foreground and some detailing to go.

As small and seemingly insignificant as the sheep is, it has the brightest bright and it is in front of the darkest dark so it is unmissable.
Nice one !
We're just getting into the 'this may be a plein air painting day' here in the NE.
So great to celebrate spring like that.
Don't take up golf – it takes time away from painting and you'll only wish you had a paintbrush in your hand…
Thanks for being my first commenter!
Not much chance of me taking up golf. I tried it a few times years ago and got worse each time. Plus, you're right – if I tried golf now I'd probably spend half my time squinting and assessing the tones and compositions around me 🙂
